Social advance depends as much upon the process through which it is secured as upon the result itself.

Jane Addams; 1860-1935

The phrase "cause-related marketing" was first used by American Express in 1983 to describe its campaign to raise money for the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. American Express made a one-cent donation to the Statue of Liberty every time someone used its charge card. It succeeded in raising the required funds for the project, and dramatically increased their usage and new card holder figures. Perhaps the term win-win is overused, but it is fitting to describe this success story.

WHAT WE DO;

CAUSE-RELATED MARKETING

Since 1983 "cause-related marketing" has been defined as the public association of a for-profit company with a nonprofit organization, intended to promote the company's product or service and to raise money for the nonprofit.

At BBK, we refer to Cause-Related Marketing a little differently. Here this term refers to the efforts we make while working for a non-profit, charity, special interest group, etc., to raise awareness, funds, or whatever else their objectives are, when they hire us to help.

Our approach to providing this service is unique to say the least. Personally we're tired of telemarketers calling our homes to sell us tickets, pick-up our used clothes, or just to ask for a donation. I think everyone can relate to these ever-increasing phone calls!

To raise money in today's world, much more creativity is required. Please call us to discuss your objectives and we'll discuss how we may be able to help.
